Chencho Tshering

Chief Academic Quality Officer

Chencho Tshering was appointed as Chief Academic Quality Officer of JSW Law w.e.f. 1st October 2025. 

Chencho holds a Master of Education (Advanced) with a specialisation in Educational Leadership from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia (WA). He completed his Bachelor of Education (Secondary) from Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan (RUB). In August 2022, he was awarded the status of Fellow (FHEA) by Advance HE, United Kingdom in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.

Chencho began his professional career as a teacher under the Ministry of Education, Bhutan in 2010, where he taught science subjects for seven years. He then joined the Office of the Vice Chancellor, RUB in 2017 as an Academic Quality Officer under the Department of Academic Affairs and subsequently advanced to the position of Chief, Quality Assurance and Enhancement Officer in the same Department. In these roles, he was responsible for disseminating the University’s quality assurance & enhancement procedures within the overall framework of the RUB regulations and monitor their effective implementation, including programme validation, periodic review, resource check and annual monitoring.
