Wangchuk Namgyel

Wangchuk Namgyel, MA, PGDE, has had a distinguished career in education and public service:

From January 1991 to December 2017, he served as a school teacher, principal of several schools, and as District Education Officer. During this period, he also held Chief’s position in the Ministry of Education, where he made significant contributions to educational policy and programs, and administration.

In October 2018, he had transitioned into political career and served as a Member of Parliament until October 2023. During this time, he was also elected as the Speaker of the Parliament, playing a pivotal role in legislative processes and governance.

Since March 2024, Wangchuk Namgyel has been serving as the Director of Student Affairs and Faculty Services at JSW Law. In this capacity, he focuses on enhancing student experiences and supporting faculty development, ensuring a high standard of academic and administrative services within the institution.
