Biography
Professor Dr. Milos Vec, a faculty of Law at the University of Vienna, Austria is a visiting faculty at the JSW School of Law. He teaches an elective course on “A Global History of International Law” which will introduce the long history of state-building in global contexts and explain how legal relations between political entities emerged which we would call today finally “international law”.
Professor Dr. Miloš Vec holds a Chair in European Legal and Constitutional History at the University of Vienna, Austria, since 2012.
Areas of Interest
His main research interests are the history of international law and multi-normativity.

Education History
He studied Law at Goethe University of Frankfurt, Germany and the University of Keele in the United Kingdom and earned his doctorate in 1997 from Frankfurt University. In addition, his degree in civil law, legal philosophy, legal theory, and modern legal history from Frankfurt University while working at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History in 2006. He also worked as a Permanent Fellow at the Institut für die Wissenschaft vom Menschen (IWM), Vienna, from 2016 to 2020.
