Biography
Migmar Lham is a Lecturer at Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, specializing in Business and Finance Law. Her areas of focus include Corporate Law, Foreign Direct Investment Law, Banking Law, Arbitration, Blockchain: Law and Policy, Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurialism. She is also the Director of the Social Enterprise Clinic, Lawyer and legal consultant.
Before joining Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law, Migmar worked as a Technical Support Executive at Hinduja Global Solutions, Bangalore for three years and as a Senior Legal Officer at the Bhutan Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre for an additional three years.
Migmar received her Masters in Business and Finance law from George Washington University and graduated from CMR Law School, Bangalore, India. She also received a Post Graduate Diploma in National Law from Royal Institute of Management.
She is the author of Corporate Law and Case Studies and the co-author of the guidebook Arbitration in Bhutan: A Primer. Migmar was a panelist on Bhutan Broadcasting Service’s 2019 talk show (in Dzongkha and English) discussing the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act of Bhutan 2013 and contributed as a drafting member of Bhutan’s first ADR Rules and Regulations.
