Biography

Panthip Pruksacholavit is an Associate Professor at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Law, where she has been a faculty member since 2014. Her scholarly work centers on Labor and Employment Law, an area in which she has established a good record of research, teaching, and international engagement.

Professor Pruksacholavit has been active in the global labor law academic community. She currently serves as Vice President of the Asian Society of Labour Law and as a member of the Labour Law Research Network (LLRN) Steering Committee. She also serves as a committee member of the Thai Society of Labor Law and led the Organizing Committee for the LLRN7 conference.

In addition to her governance roles, Professor Pruksacholavit serves as Series Editor for Sweet & Maxwell’s Thai Law Book Series. Her publications include a chapter on Labor and Employment Law in Thailand in the International Labor and Employment Laws published by the American Bar Association, as well as Thai-language textbooks including Workmen’s Compensation Law in Thailand and Thai Labor Protection Law.

Professor Pruksacholavit has held visiting positions at several leading institutions, including National Taiwan University, the University of Warsaw, Seoul National University, and Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training.

Beyond academia, she brings extensive practical experience to her work. She served as a consultant to the ILO Bangkok Office, as an arbitrator at the Thai Arbitration Institute, and as an expert witness in labor litigation and arbitration. She also conducted investigations in labor violence cases.
