JSW Law Welcomes Graduate Summer School Students and Class of 2029

The welcome event was attended by guests from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), the Rule of Law Programme Asia, Singapore, Professors teaching the summer school courses and JSW Law staff and students.
The Graduate Summer School programme, organised in partnership with Lewis & Clark Law School, USA, is a three-week intensive course for the 18 students from universities in Australia, the United States, Singapore, Nepal, and Bhutan. This diverse group will have a choice of two courses taught by highly respected legal academicians from leading law schools in the United States and Australia. The courses are aimed to enhance the participants’ legal knowledge and skills.
JSW Law also introduced its newest cohort, the Class of 2029, comprising of 22 students, 17 female and 5 male. Before commencing their formal legal education, the students will participate in a two-week Orientation and Bridging Course designed to prepare them for the rigorous academic journey ahead.
The event marked a significant moment for JSW Law as it continues to cultivate a global learning environment and uphold its commitment to excellence in legal education.

KAS is a prominent German foundation with a substantial global presence, operating in over 100 countries. Its Rule of Law Programme Asia (RLPA) in Singapore enhances KAS’s efforts in the region, focusing on legal technology policy, alternative dispute resolution, constitutional law, human rights, good governance, and judicial independence.
The KAS team will meet with JSW Law’s Clinic Directors to introduce clinical education at JSW Law and discuss its integration into the Justice Sector Strategic Plan (JSSP). They will also meet the Research Centre and Climate Change and Environmental Law Centre
