Conference on Artificial Intelligence

7 October 2025 : In commemoration of the 70th Birth Anniversary of the Great Fourth Druk Gyalpo His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck, a visionary founder of human centric development of Gross National Happiness and democratic Bhutan, JSW Law in collaboration with Anand & Anand, a leading Intellectual Property Law firm in India, hosted a high level discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI) under the theme “Mindful AI, Just Laws, and Better Lives.” The event brought together both local and international experts to exchange insights and perspectives on various aspects of AI.

This one-of-a-kind discussion featured three working sessions that explored diverse dimensions of artificial intelligence: Consciousness, Artificial Intelligence Quantum computing, Happiness, and the future of life. Each Session offered in-depth discussion that bridged technology, philosophy and law highlighting the human element at the core of AI innovation.

The dialogue further examines the intricate intersections between AI, law and the right to personality, in the context of expansion of AI-driven innovation. Discussion also reflected on the adequacy of existing intellectual property regimes in addressing AI generated content, algorithmic creativity, and machine-learning models that challenge traditional notions of authorship and inventorship.

The discussion also underscored the importance of fostering AI systems that are fair, accountable, and aligned with human values—towards a future where technology serves to enhance both justice and happiness.
