Second Edition of the First-Year Moot Court Competition Concludes Successfully

The Moot Court Society of JSW School of Law successfully hosted the Second Edition of the First-Year Moot Court Competition, bringing together first-year law students for an intense three-day legal battle. The competition culminated in a thrilling Championship Round held on March 6, 2025.

Launched in 2024, this annual competition provides a dynamic platform for first-year students to enhance their oral advocacy, legal writing, and research skills while applying their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.

This year’s moot proposition, Selden v. Gawa, tackled pressing contemporary legal issues, including online harassment, fundamental rights violations, assault, battery, and reparation. Participants engaged in rigorous debates on free speech, social media accountability, and the legal consequences of digital interactions, refining their arguments over five months of preparation, starting in November 2024.
