With immense pride and satisfaction, JSW Law celebrates the successful closing of its Second Undergraduate Summer School, held from June 17 to June 30, 2024. The intensive two-week course, conducted at the JSW Law campus, brought together 40 students from law school and universities in India, Singapore, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.
The Summer School featured highly topical and engaging courses taught by esteemed and well known legal academics from leading law schools in Asia.
Students were exposed to a range of contemporary legal issues and benefited from the expertise of skilled and experienced legal academicians.
Students had excellent opportunity to interact with each other, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and cultures within the classroom, residential settings, and during field trips. The special field visits to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city, and Punakha, the historical seat of government, helped students gain firsthand insights into Bhutanese culture and legal system.
The Undergraduate Summer School 2024 was organised in partnership with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore. This collaboration underscored the objective of fostering academic excellence and cross-cultural learning.
Shri Niteen S Yeola, Dy. Chief of Mission, Embassy of India in Bhutan graced the closing ceremony.
