Nima Tshering

Nima Tshering has been appointed as the Assistant Dean for Student Services w.e.f from 1 April 2023. He brings a diverse background to this role, having completed a Primary B.Ed in English from the National Institute of Education, Samtse in 1996, followed by a PGCTIS (Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching Information Systems) from Paro College of Education and Sherubtse College, Kanglung in 2003. He also earned a Master of Arts (Design) from Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in Japan, where he studied from 2004 to 2008.

Prior to his appointment, Nima worked as a teacher at Tangmachu Middle Secondary School in Lhuentse from 1996 to 2002. He then served as a Curriculum Officer from 2002 to 2013. This role also gave him the opportunity to teach at the Paro College of Education.  He served The Royal Academy, His Majesty’s Secretariat, from 2013 to 2019. At The Royal Academy, he was a teacher, a mentor, a dorm parent, Head of the Aesthetics Department, and the Coordinator for Social Development.
